Work related stress/study stress can have an impact on the psychological well‐being, physical health and job satisfaction.

The impact of work related/study stress

Most jobs will involve some level of stress that will fluctuate over time. However, when work related/study stress becomes excessive or chronic, it can cause significant problems and people experience stress symptoms in various ways. In the physical domain people experience headaches, high blood pressure, fatigue, sleep difficulties. In the psychological domain people experience mood swings, feelings of helplessness, a sense of disconnection from colleagues and others, or even issues in decision-making. In the behavioural domain behaviors such as taking too often sick leave from work, producing low quality output, procrastination, avoiding social engagement or even drinking more alcohol than usual can be observed.
